We here at the site are huge fans of the original film from Sony Pictures Animation, so it should come as no surprise to how eagerly we’ve been anticipating the teaser trailer to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 (even more so after the poster). Well that day has finally arrived my friends, and boy was it worth the wait! Check out the “revenge of the leftovers” after the jump…

Brief Synopsis:

The sequel picks up with Flint Lockwood (Hader) living a happy life and working his dream job at The Live Corp Company. Things start to go terribly wrong, however, when he learns that not only is his machine still active, it’s been creating troublesome living pieces of food.

The film features the returning voices of: Bill Hader, Anna Faris, James Caan, Andy Samberg, Terry Crews, Neil Patrick Harris, Will Forte, and more. The directing team of Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn will be taking over for Phil Lord and Chris Miller (who wrote and directed the first film), with a script by Horrible Bosses scribes Jonathan M. Goldstein and John Francis Daley. Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2 finds its way into theaters September 27th.

I personally am really excited to see this “lost world” of animal and food hybrids, as well as the further adventures and antics of Flint Lockwood and all the chaos his FLDSMDFR continues to create. How about yourself? Let us know in the comments below.

  1. I personally have to say that I’m surprised at how fun the trailer seemed and I just LOVE the creativity that the animators did with the food animals! Leads to many great situations and puns/figures of speech (leek in boat, piece of cake, etc.), lol! I’m actually more stoked to see this now!
