It’s hard to believe it has been 25 years since the world was introduced to a rabbit named Roger and his crazy world in which we learned that Weasels die from laughing, “Patty Cake” is far from child’s play and sexy cartoon vixens aren’t bad, they’re just drawn that way.
In celebration of its 25 years of existence, the Academy for Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is planning a gala reunion event celebrating the Oscar-winning film and the many people who made it work. The event is scheduled to take place on April 4th at 7:30pm in the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, CA.
Along with several notable cast and crew members in attendance, including Director Robert Zemeckis and Charles Fleischer, the voice of Roger Rabbit himself, the Academy will also be showing a newly restored print (hopefully what was used for the upcoming Blu-Ray that’s out March 12th) of the beloved film.
Tickets to attend are merely $5 to the public and only $3 for Academy members.
