Actor Liam Neeson is the latest voice talent to join the cast of ToonBox Entertainment’s animated comedy feature The Nut Job. According to Animation Magazine, Neeson will join the voice cast which already includes Will Arnett, Brendan Fraser, Katherine Heigl, Stephen Lang, Sarah Gadon and Jeff Dunham. Neeson will be voicing a raccoon, who is reportedly the film’s villain.
Currently in production, The Nut Job tells the story of Surly Squirrel, who, along with his friend Buddy the rat, plans a nut heist of “outrageous proportions.” Directed by Peter Lepeniotis, the feature is based on the 2005 short Surly Squirrel, which Lepeniotis also directed. Nuts and Robberts, a teaser for the CG-animated film, is located on the ToonBox Entertainment site.
The film is a co-production of Canada-based ToonBox Entertainment Ltd. and Redrover Co. Ltd., located in Korea.
This movie reminds me so much of “Over the Hedge” for some reason!
