Production for Sara Solves It, a new animated educational show for the preschool set, has been greenlit by Amazon Studios. The new interactive series follows siblings Sara and Sam as they solve fun, math-based “mysteries” every day around their home and surroundings.
The series is created by Emmy Award winning TV executive producer Carol Greenwald (Arthur, Martha Speaks, Curious George) and producer/writer Angela C. Santomero (Blue’s Clues, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Super Why!). Both will serve as executive producers. Sara Solves It is being co-developed by WGBH and Out of the Blue Enterprises.
Once created, the shows will be made available on Amazon Prime Instant Video and Amazon Instant Video online services. The program is the first children’s series pilot from Amazon Studios, the original movie and series production arm of online retail giant Amazon. Amazon Studios is aggressively creating original content along with adding to its online streaming library through licensing deals with other studios and distributors.
Seems interesting, but if both of the siblings solve the mystery, why is only “Sara” credited in the title, lol?
