Watch This: Sneak Peek of Disney’s Planes

PlanesSneakPeek

Well today has been amazing for us fans of Disney and animation. Disney has just shared with us a sneak peek of their upcoming film Planes, coming to theaters this August in 3D. Check it out after the jump…

The animation in this sneak peek is breathtaking. I love all the visuals, and much like in the Cars films the landscapes and sky resemble the vehicle of choice the movie is centered on (how many airplanes can you spot?). I may be in the minority but I actually prefer Dane Cook as the voice of Dusty Crophopper, gives him a more Lightning McQueen feel.

 Brief synopsis for the film:

The all-new story offers an exciting cast of characters and centers on Dusty’s high-flying dream. But Dusty’s not exactly built for racing, so he turns to a seasoned naval aviator who helps Dusty qualify to take on the defending champ of the race circuit. Dusty’s courage is put to the ultimate test as he aims to reach heights he never dreamed possible, giving a spellbound world the inspiration to soar.

Starring the voices of: Dane Cook, Anthony Edwards, Val Kilmer, Stacy Keach, Cedric the Entertainer, Teri Hatcher, Brad Garrett, Roger Craig Smith, Gabriel Iglesias, Carlos Alazraqui, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, John Cleese, Priyanka Chopra, with Sinbad, and Colin Cowherd. Planes is set to fly into theaters on August 9, 2013 and is produced by Traci Balthazor-Flynn & executive produced by John Lasseter and directed by Klay Hall.

So what do you think, will you be seeing Planes? Let us know in the comments below.
