The Los Angeles Times reported today that DreamWorks Animation is “moving ahead” with a sequel to this year’s animated hit The Croods. It’s reported that co-writers and directors Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders will be returning. Negotiations are underway with the voice talent, according to the article. The film does not have an announced release date. It is expected that more information about the sequel will be made known tomorrow when 20th Century Fox (now 21st Century Fox) makes their presentation at the annual CinemaCon conference, the annual convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) underway this week in Las Vegas. So are you excited for a sequel to The Croods? Let us know in the comments below.
Oh, boy (tired)! I haven’t seen this movie yet, but I really wasn’t looking forward to it, but the fact that this movie was a hit and “Rise of the Guardians” wasn’t kind of annoys me. Oh well, I can’t make a judgment on a sequel till I see this movie.
Not at all surprising.
