The voice of Disney’s infamous, turtle neck wearing hound, legendary voice talent Bill Farmer, will be putting his talents to work on one of Pixar’s up-and-coming films. The star tweeted this morning:

‘Had a great day on Stage B @ Disney doing voicework for the very new Pixar film. #tarastrong, #JimWard, #PhilProctor, & the fun people!’

Which of the new Pixar films is he talking about? My guess is The Good Dinosaur but only time will tell.

The other interesting thing is the people he has tagged in the tweet, all of which are also voice actors. Tara Strong , who is most famous for voicing Timmy Turner in The Fairly Odd Parents but has also worked on The Powerpuff Girls, Rugrats, Ben 10, and Drawn Together. Jim Ward, who as acted on a few Marvel cartoons like Ultimate Avengers and X-Men and is currently recording the voice of Qwark for the new Ratchet and Clank movie, and finally Phil Proctor, who is a regular voice talent at Pixar, interestingly he voiced Bob the seahorse in Finding Nemo, maybe another clue as to the project they are working on.

What’s interesting to me is it seems like these actors are all recording together, maybe it was for a table read or maybe Pixar are changing their formula and allowing the actors more interaction and more improvisation as Disney recently did on Wreck-It Ralph. Again this is all speculation but exciting none the less. Watch this space for more info, and if you’d like to hear more about Bill Farmer’s career check out the interview Marc and Matt did with him on the podcast back in October of last year.
