Have you ever wanted to walk down Evergreen Terrace, or maybe stroll into the Android’s Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop for the new issue of Radioactive Man & Fallout Boy? How about grabbing a Duff at Moe’s Tavern, or a finely aged hot dog or a Squishy at the Kwik-E-Mart? How do you satisfy your cravings for a Krusty Burger with Cheese or a Lard Lad donut?
Visitors to Universal Orlando theme park will soon get that chance as Springfield, the hometown of The Simpsons, is coming to the resort this summer in conjunction with the new The Simpsons Ride.
“Fans will literally be able to live and breathe Springfield,” Jeffrey Godsick, President of Fox Consumer Products said.
The fully functioning replica of the city will include all of the aforementioned attractions, and more and they will even sell Duff Beer, brewed exclusively for Universal Orlando.
“This will be a must-see experience for Simpsons fans all over the world,” Mark Woodbury, President of Universal Creative remarked in a press release. “We’re excited to bring (this) world to life.”
There will other Simpsons themed attractions as part of the Springfield experience, including a show featuring Krusty the Clown and Sideshow Bob (no word if Bob will murder anyone), and Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl, which sounds nauseatingly fun! Denise Sirkot, President of Gracie Films said of the Springfield attraction at Universal Orlando “Truly, this is the Krustiest place on earth.”
