Relativity Media and Reel FX’s upcoming animated feature Free Birds has announced more additions to its voice cast. Eddie ‘Piolin’ Sotelo (Ice Age: Continental Drift), Danny Carey (drummer from the band Tool) and Josh Lawson (The Campaign) have joined the already impressive cast for the film, which includes Owen Wilson (Cars), Woody Harrelson (The Hunger Games), Amy Poehler (Horton Hears a Who!), George Takei (Star Trek, Internet God), Dan Fogler (Kung Fu Panda 2), Colm Meaney (Con Air) and Keith David (The Princess and the Frog).
Free Birds tells the comedic story of “two turkeys from opposite sides of the tracks who must put aside their differences and team up to travel back in time to change the course of history – and get turkey off the holiday menu for good.”
Directed by Jimmy Hayward (Horton Hears a Who!), Free Birds is scheduled to open in U.S. theaters in 2D and 3D on November 1, 2013, just in time for Thanksgiving.
