New Voice Talent Added to DreamWorks’ ‘Penguins of Madagascar’ and ‘B.O.O.’


We’ve learned that new voice talent has been signed for two upcoming DreamWorks’ animated feature films currently in production.

According to The Wrap, actors Benedict Cumberbatch (TV’s Sherlock, Star Trek Into Darkness) and John Malkovich (Red 2) have added to the voice cast of the upcoming feature film The Penguins of Madagascar. The Wrap states that “Malkovich will voice the film’s charming villain, while Cumberbatch will voice a high-ranking animal CIA agent hot on his trail.” Directed by Simon J. Smith and Eric Darnell, The Penguins of Madagascar is scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on March 27, 2015.

Also according to The Wrap, Matt Bomer (TV’s White Collar) and Rashida Jones (TV’s Parks and Recreation) have joined the voice cast of DreamWorks’ feature B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations. They join Seth Rogen and Melissa McCarthy in this story of “two ghosts who discover a plot from within their organization to take over the Earth.” The Wrap states that Jones will “voice the ex-wife of Rogen’s character and Bomer will play her new husband.” Directed by Anthony Leondis, B.O.O. is scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on June 5, 2015.
