Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (This Is the End) have received an order from FX Networks for the pilot of their new animated series Bigfoot. The animated comedy series is based on the graphic novels by Graham Roumieu (In Me Own Words, Me Write Book, and I Not Dead) which portray Bigfoot as a “bipolar, hopeless romantic” everyman that “lacks the ability to properly express himself, living in both the human and animal world…but not quite fitting in to either one.”
The show will be written by Matt McKenna (TV’s American Dad) and executive produced by Rogen, Goldberg and McKenna.
Rogen said “This will be the greatest show about an animated Bigfoot ever made.”
FX Network is working to increase its animated series slate, which already includes Archer and a new show by Danny McBride called Chosen which will air on their new FXX channel.
