For our loyal readers in Southern California (or to any of our loyal readers traveling to Southern California in November), you are in for a treat. The fantastic El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, CA, will be screening Walt Disney Animation Studios’ new feature film Frozen beginning on Friday, November 22, five days before the film opens to in wide release on November 27, 2013.

At the screening, guests will also be treated to a live stage show featuring the stars of film Anna and Elsa along with “Images in Ice,” a show starring ice-carving performance artists (I hope that chain saws will be involved!).

If you’re a Disney fan and you’ve never been to the El Capitan Theatre before, you really owe it to yourself. The theater is a beautifully restored classic movie palace. Originally built in 1926, the theater underwent a huge, museum-quality restoration and renovation in the late 1980s which was funded and overseen by the Walt Disney Company, Pacific Theaters, and the National Park Service. It re-opened in 1991 and has been an exclusive first run theater for Walt Disney Pictures ever since. Today, it features RealD 3D along with incredible Dolby Atmos sound.

For more information about the special Frozen screening, visit the El Capitan website or call 1-800-Disney6.
