As introduced in August at the D23 Expo 2013, Disneytoon Studios’ sequel to Planes titled Planes: Fire and Rescue now has an official teaser trailer.
The film has Dusty Crophopper (voiced by Dane Cook) joining an elite team of firefighting planes in a new adventure. Planes: Fire and Rescue is scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on July 18, 2014, although the teaser just states “2014.”
My main beef with this Planes stuff is that I wish the films would just be released first on Blu-ray and DVD as intended rather than getting a theatrical release beforehand. Money talks, so we’ll see how Planes: Fire and Rescue does for the Disneytoon team (and the Disney accountants) next summer.
