Hello, animation lovers! This week’s new releases give us a wide variety of animated entertainment, from little blue creatures to our favourite Springfield residents! We’re treated to The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition, Transformers: Prime – Season 3, The Smurfs 2, and our featured release, The Simpsons: Season 16.
The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition comes out this week on DVD after being out on Blu-ray for just over two months. Although the DVD release doesn’t differ in special features from the Blu-ray, it does still include deleted scenes, interactive features, a music video, and much more.
This week also brings us Transformers: Prime – Season 3! With precisely six hours of action and adventure, this show is sure to be a hit for any Transformers fan.
The Smurfs 2 is the only brand new feature film that is being released this week. With an all-star voice acting cast, this film didn’t do quite as well in the box office as the first, but still earned a whopping $342 million worldwide!
This week’s featured release, The Simpsons: Season 16, comes out this week and features all 21 episodes from the longest-running animated show in TV history! This season had some great cameos, and is definitely worth checking out!
