Season One of ‘Turbo FAST’ Now on Netflix

Turbo-FAST-on-Netflix

DreamWorks Animation’s new animated series Turbo FAST has premiered on Netflix. In its debut this week, five initial episodes have been made available for instant streaming. More episodes will be added weekly.

From Netflix:

Join Turbo and his posse on the Turbo Fast Action Stunt Team. Filled with outrageous comedy, action and laugh out loud fun, ‘Turbo FAST’ amps up everything to the extreme: extreme adventures, extreme challenges, and extreme excitement.
The series is reported to pick up where the movie left off. What’s instantly noticeable is that the animated series is done in more of a 2D animation style than in the CG animation style from the feature film. Each episode is 23 minutes in length.

  1. I have watched the series up to episode five, which is all that they have on Netflix as of this writing. It’s obviously geared toward a younger audience. It is a well-produced show but has little substance. They introduce some characters to challenge them in various ways, which typically involve racing on some level. There are also some pop culture references thrown in for adults, but I would suspect that most adults won’t be very drawn to it. Still, I am glad that Netflix is taking on animation and this could lead to some more content in the future if successful. Young children need content too, and this should serve the 4-12 year-old segment pretty well.
