D23, the official Disney fan club, has announced their members-only events happening in 2014. Of particular interest to our loyal readers and animation fans are the screenings of classic Disney animated films in the historic Studios Theater located on the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, California.
The Studios Theater is just a few feet away from the former Animation building where most of these films were created. Here’s the screening schedule:
February 15 – The Jungle Book
September 13 – The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
October 11 – Sleeping Beauty
November 15 – The Little Mermaid
Also on this year’s schedule are the tours of the Walt Disney Studios and Archives that D23 has offered for the last few years, a 50th anniversary celebration of Mary Poppins, and another “Destination D” event in Walt Disney World celebrating closed but beloved Disney park attractions. To attend the screenings and any of D23 members-only events, you must sign up in advance online, be a D23 member in good standing, and pay a fee (in most cases).
