Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen is not only a box office and award-winning hit, it has become a YouTube sensation as well with fans posting countless videos of them (and their children) singing their favorite tunes from the film. In response, Disney will release a sing-along version of Frozen in select U.S. theaters beginning Friday, January 31.

Movie goers will be able to sing along with Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristof, and Hans by following a “magical bouncing snowflake” on top of on-screen lyrics.

While all of the songs from Frozen are great, the power ballad “Let It Go” seems to be the fan favorite. The video of the entire “Let It Go” sequence sung by Idina Menzel on Walt Disney Animation Studios’ YouTube channel has over 51 million views and counting. Disney has also posted recently this cool video of the “Let It Go” sequence with a mix of 25 different languages the song has been translated and recorded in for international audiences.

About the sing-along release, Dave Hollis, executive vice president of theatrical distribution for The Walt Disney Studios said:

‘Frozen’ fans have embraced the film’s original songs and its soundtrack with such passion — there are countless YouTube videos from people singing songs like “Let It Go” — we decided to create a version that would celebrate that enthusiasm. It’s a great opportunity for families to get together and have some fun with these songs.

Over 1,000 U.S. theaters are reported to get the special Frozen sing-along version. Make sure to check your local listings if your favorite movie theater will be showing it. The duration of the sing-along run will vary by theater.

Disney’s Frozen along with the awesome Get a Horse! short will be available for digital download (in 2D and 3D formats) on February 25 and on Blu-ray, DVD, and on demand (2D only) on March 18th.
