Even though it hasn’t opened yet, we’ve received word that Warner Bros.’ upcoming animated feature The LEGO Movie already has a sequel under development. According to The Wrap, writers Jared Stern (The Internship, Mr. Popper’s Penguins) and Michelle Morgan (Girl Most Likely) have been working with the Warner Bros. Animation team on the sequel’s script.
From what we’ve read on RottenTomatoes.com about the film, it sounds like a sequel is a good decision. As of today, The LEGO Movie has a 100% “Tomatometer” score with 26 critics weighing in so far.
Warner Bros.’ The LEGO Movie opens in 3D in theaters on February 7th.
