Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Animation pulled out all of the stops at WonderCon in Anaheim, CA, over the weekend with the debut of their new film Son of Batman, the 20th film in the ongoing series of DC Universe Animated Original Movies.
In addition to premiering the film for WonderCon attendees, a panel discussion was held with the filmmakers and members of the voice cast, including director Ethan Spaulding, producer James Tucker, character designer Phil Bourassa, and actors Jason O’Mara (Batman), Sean Maher (Nightwing), Xander Berkeley (Langstrom), and Stuart Allan (Damian). Cast and crew members were also in the DC Entertainment booth at WonderCon to sign an exclusive-to-WonderCon mini-poster for the lucky attendees.
Based on Grant Morrison’s famed DC storyline, Son of Batman tells the story of Damian Wayne, the child that Bruce Wayne didn’t know he had. Damian is not just any child, however; he was raised by the League of Assassins and has some serious skills (along with some serious issues).
