It turns out that Jon Stewart, host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, is a fan of Phineas and Ferb. When co-creator and producer Dan Povenmire heard Jon Stewart on The Rachel Maddow Show doing an impression of Dr. Doofenshmirtz, he said “it was one of the weirdest moments of my life.” After that, he and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh contacted Jon about doing a voice on the show and he agreed.
Jon guest stars in a new episode that first aired July 7, 2014, entitled “The Klimpaloon Ultimatum” (this was also the 300th episode of the series). He plays Mr. Random, president of Random Swimwear, which is sponsoring a music award show in the tri-state area.
Here’s the summary from Disney:
“Love Händel’s song ‘The Ballad of Klimpaloon’ is nominated for ‘Best Fact-Based Song’ at the Tristies, the tri-state area’s music award show sponsored by Random Swimwear. But when the existence of the magical, human-like bathing suit Klimpaloon is questioned, Phineas, Ferb and the gang must travel to the Himalayas to prove his existence and validate Love Händel’s nomination. Guest starring is Jon Stewart as Mr. Random, President of Random Swimwear.”
