A new trailer has been released for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Big Hero 6 in Japan. It has a more serious tone than the U.S. trailer, but ultimately is a bit of a hybrid from what Disney has released in the U.S. (Although some are claiming “spoiler alert,” if you’ve been following the film’s progress since last year’s D23 Expo, you’ll know that the stuff revealed in the Japanese trailer was already spilled by co-director Don Hall last year).
The Japanese dub of the film is called Baymax and it will open in Japan on December 20th, 2014. A new Big Hero 6 manga is also scheduled to be released. According to Anime News Network, the manga, which will be in the September issue of Kodansha‘s Magazine Special (available in Japan on August 20), “is the first manga series that previews a Disney movie’s story before it opens.”
Also be sure to check out Tom Fonss’ reaction to the second U.S. trailer released earlier this week as well.
