The 15th Annual VIEW computer graphics conference is scheduled to be held October 14th-17th, 2014 in Turin, Italy. Just announced is that legendary animator Glen Keane will be giving a keynote address at the conference.
Keane, a 38-year veteran of Disney Animation and head animator of some of Disney’s most beloved characters, has launched his own production company and is now working on innovative projects with Google’s Advanced Technology and Projects group. He recently debuted a new short film called Duet, which is a unique interactive animated story designed specifically for Android devices.
The VIEW Conference is “the premiere international event in Italy on Computer Graphics, Interactive Techniques, Digital Cinema, 2D/3D Animation, Gaming and VFX.” The conference “will continue to focus on exploring the increasingly fluid boundary between real and digital worlds. Through lectures, meetings, tributes, exhibits, screenings and demo presentations VIEW will reveal the new digital frontier sweeping from cinema to architecture, from automotive design to advertisement, from medicine to video games.”
