In an unprecedented move, Pixar Animation Studios today announced that they have acquired the Animation Fascination podcast and website. The venerable podcast will become the official podcast of Pixar and co-founders Marc Vibbert and Matt Quest will join the staff of Pixar Animation Studios.
The popular Animation Fascination website will also move its domain and assets to Pixar as part of a transition plan communicated earlier today to Pixar staff at the company’s headquarters in Emeryville, California.
“We are delighted to have Marc, Matt, and the rest of the Animation Fascination staff join the team at Pixar Animation Studios,” said a Pixar spokesperson. “Their podcast reflects a great love and knowledge of animation and is just the thing needed to jumpstart our foray into the world of podcasting.”
Mr. Quest and Mr. Vibbert had this to say about the announcement: “This is totally wicked!”
