Warner Animation Group and Warner Bros. Pictures have dropped a new trailer today for their upcoming CG-animated feature The LEGO Batman Movie.
We like this version:
Here’s the official synopsis:
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
The film is directed by Chris McKay. Will Arnett is back as the voice as Batman/Bruce Wayne. Other voice cast members include (according to IMDB) Michael Cera as Dick Grayson/Robin, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl/Barbara Gordon, Zach Galifianakis as The Joker, and Mariah Carey (yes, that Mariah Carey) as Mayor Marion Grange.
The LEGO Batman Movie opens in U.S. theaters on February 10th, 2017. (And with Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice getting raked over the coals by the critics, at least we have a fun Batman film to look forward to, right?) Check out the film’s official website and like it on Facebook. The Warner Animation Group has a new page on Facebook, too.
