Get those show tunes engines revved up because everybody’s favorite talking machines are zooming to the Great White Way! Pixar and Disney Theatrical Productions announced today that their mega-franchise Cars will soon debut as a Broadway musical.
“We couldn’t be more excited that our beloved franchise Cars will join other franchises on Broadway to be part of our Broadway theatrical franchise,” said a franchise leader from Disney Theatrical Productions in New York City. “We think people who love franchises will love to see this franchise live on stage.”
“Franchises are the only thing at Disney,” said another high-ranking Disney leader. “So why not have singing and dancing cars add another component to an already popular franchise?”
While the full creative team will be announced a soon, a concept for a green-dressed Brent Mustangburger was shown at the press conference. The costumes will allow for the performers to sing and dance freely, yet still show off the beloved franchise’s signature franchise look.
