Cool news today from Walt Disney Animation Studios–director Rich Moore confirmed that a sequel to Wreck-It Ralph is actually happening.
We’ve read multiple stories over the last few years with rumors about this project (and actor John C. Reilly hasn’t been helping much on the secrecy front either). Moore and some friends confirmed the film and its official release date of March 9th, 2018 on Facebook today.
From what we see in the concept art (at top of article), it looks like Ralph and Vanellope are going to have a big adventure outside of Litwak’s Family Fun Center and Arcade into something that looks strangely like the Internet. (Now if only Tron would show up!)
With this announcement, the release date for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ previously announced musical Gigantic has been moved from March 9th, 2018 to November 21st, 2018.
