We’re excited for Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming Spider-Man animated feature film. While most of the film is still being kept under wraps (other than the fact that Miles Morales will be our favorite web-slinger), Sony has announced two actors who will be joining the voice cast.
Actor Shameik Moore will be voicing Miles Morales/Spider-Man. Shameik starred in the hit indie film Dope. He also plays Shaolin Fantastic in the Netflix original series The Get Down.
Also announced for the film is actor Liev Schreiber, who will be voicing the film’s unannounced villain. Liev currently stars in Showtime’s Ray Donovan and is a voice in the upcoming animated feature My Little Pony: The Movie now in production.Sony’s animated Spider-Man feature is being co-directed by Bob Persichetti and Peter Ramsey. Phil Lord and Chris Miller are producing the film; Phil Lord also wrote the script. The film is scheduled to be released in U.S. theaters on December 21st, 2018.
