Pixar’s New Short ‘Sanjay’s Super Team’ to Screen with ‘The Good Dinosaur’
While much publicity is currently being devoted to Pixar Animation Studios’ upcoming animated feature Inside Out opening on June 19th, don’t forget that we will be getting two films from Pixar this year–The Good Dinosaur is scheduled to open on November 25th, 2015. Playing in front of The Good Dinosaur is the newly announced short Sanjay’s Super Team. The short will make its official debut at this year’s Annecy International Animation Film Festival in Annecy, France.

The 2014 Annecy International Animation Film Festival has wrapped up for the year. One of the many cool things that happened there was a presentation from Walt Disney Animation Studios. Artists discussed Disney’s upcoming short Feast and also their upcoming animated feature film Big Hero 6.
‘Boy and the World’ Wins Cristal Prize at 2014 Annecy Festival
Boy and the World (O Menino e o Mundo) took home the Cristal Award for a Feature Film at the 2014 Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Directed by Brazilian artist Alê Abreu, the hand-drawn animated film tells the story of a fatherless boy who leaves his village “to discover a world dominated by animal machines and strange beings” and shows an interpretation of the problems of the world through the eyes of a child.
Disney’s ‘Feast’ Short Debuts at Annecy Festival
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ new short film Feast made its debut this week at the 2014 Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The six-minute short tells the story of “one man’s love life as seen through the eyes of his best friend and dog, Winston [a Boston Terrier], and revealed bite by bite through the meals they share.”
New Logo for Pixar’s ‘Inside Out’
Pixar’s Pete Doctor made a presentation yesterday about his new film Inside Out at the 2014 Annecy International Animation Film Festival. From some of the various tweets coming from the festival, it sounds like a segment of the film was shown and a new logo for the film made its debut.

Those lucky enough to attend the 2014 Annecy International Animation Film Festival are in for plenty of cool experiences and this news is no exception. Pixar’s Pete Doctor will be in attendance at Annecy and will host a panel on June 10th called “A Look Inside Disney-Pixar’s Inside Out.”

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival has announced the festival’s official selection of animated feature films. Under the leadership of artistic director Marcel Jean and his team in the festival’s Films & Programming department, 9 films were selected for competition out of the 68 feature films submitted.
Official Selections Announced for 2013 Annecy Festival
The Annecy International Animation Film Festival has announced the festival’s official selection of films. Under the direction of Marcel Jean, Annecy Artistic Director, 2,460 films were reviewed from 45 different countries around the world to be included in the festival. 236 films were selected in the following categories: Feature Films (9 in competition, 14 out of competition), Short Films (52 in competition, 37 out of competition), TV and Commissioned Films (73 total), and Graduation Films (51 total). Each category has a jury which selects their favorites to win the festival’s coveted Annecy Cristal award along with other prizes and honors. Jury members are listed on the Annecy website.
