Blue Sky Studios has released a trailer for their upcoming animated feature Ferdinand.
If you saw The Peanuts Movie over the weekend (which hopefully you did), you probably also saw Blue Sky Studios’ new Ice Age short Cosmic Scrat-tastrophe. The short is now available on the Fox Family Entertainment YouTube channel.

Are you getting ready to go back to Rio? 20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios have released the final Rio 2 trailer prior to its U.S. release on April 11th. The trailer features Nigel, voiced by the fantastic Jemaine Clement, doing a hilarious cover of Gloria Gaynor’s disco standard “I Will Survive.” Background vocals are provided by the lovely and talented Kristen Chenoweth, the voice of Gabi the poison dart frog who appears to be number two to Nigel’s number one. Blue Sky released their teaser trailer for the upcoming film based on the Peanuts comics and cartoons of Charles Schulz and I can’t stop watching it! The concerns about turning such a familiar 2D design into a 3D world had many of us traditional animation addicts highly skeptical, but the care and attention the studio apparently is putting into the adaptation is amazing.
2014 is off to a great start with the huge success of Warner Bros.’ hilarious and extremely clever hit The LEGO Movie. The animated feature films scheduled to open in the U.S. over the next few months will offer filmgoers a variety of stories, styles, and experiences that all look “awesome” to us. Marc Vibbert and Tom Fonss discuss the spring features in episode 62 of the Animation Fascination podcast. Here’s my take on what to expect with the animated features coming to theaters this spring.
