Pixar Animation Studios this week closed its three-year-old Pixar Canada studio. Located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Pixar Canada is reported to have employed over 100 people, all of whom are now out of work. The Canadian studio primarily worked on short films which starred “legacy” (aka existing) Pixar characters, including Small Fry, Partysaurus Rex, and episodes of Mater’s Tall Tales.
Pixar Animation Studios released three new Cars Toon “shorty shorts” (short films that clock in under two minutes each) on Disney Channel over the weekend. The series named Tales from Radiator Springs focuses on favorite Cars characters dealing with humorous situations.
