Fox and Blue Sky are working on a 3-D CG rendition of the classic comic strip and cartoon Peanuts for release November 25, 2015. So far, Steve Martino (Ice Age: Continental Drift, Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who) is set to direct and it was just announced that Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, The Heat, TV’s Freaks and Geeks) will produce. Schulz’s son Craig and grandson Bryan co-wrote the screenplay, which marks the first resurrection of the franchise into a feature since 1980.
Jim Gianopulos, chairman of Fox studios and Chris Wedge, co-founder of Blue Sky Studios announced today that Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang will be hitting theaters in November, 2015, which coincides with the 65th Anniversary of Charles M. Schulz’s classic comic strip.
During Thursday’s press conference at CinemaCon, Fox Studios chairman Jim Gianopulos unleashed a Dragon..or a sequel to Dragons. How to Train Your Dragon 2(not a confirmed title), the sequel to DreamWorks Animation’s 2010 hit will fly into theaters on June 20th, 2014.
