IGN has an exclusive clip from the Phineas and Ferb Halloween special and it has some familiar characters.
It turns out that Jon Stewart, host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, is a fan of Phineas and Ferb. When co-creator and producer Dan Povenmire heard Jon Stewart on The Rachel Maddow Show doing an impression of Dr. Doofenshmirtz, he said “it was one of the weirdest moments of my life.” After that, he and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh contacted Jon about doing a voice on the show and he agreed.
Disney Channel has finally announced the premiere date of the new Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars special. The show will premiere Saturday, July 26th, at 9:00 p.m. on Disney Channel (check your local listings). It will then be re-aired on Aug. 4th at 7:30 p.m. (again, check your local listings) on Disney X-D along with a preview of the upcoming Star Wars Rebels animated series as part of a new Star Wars programming block.
Disney Channel has another reason to be happy—It’s reported that their Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel special which aired last Friday, August 16 has earned the series’ highest numbers in over six months.
While promoting the new Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel special now showing on Disney Channel, show creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh have been talking to the media about the next adventure for the animated step-brothers and their posse. This time, they are taking their adventures to a galaxy far, far away as part of a new Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars special.
Disney’s hit animated TV comedy series Phineas and Ferb is having another cross over event with yet another major Disney property. This time, they are visiting the Star Wars galaxy. The Phineas and Ferb + Star Wars crossover TV event was announced this past week at San Diego Comic-Con by the show’s creators and executive producers Dan Povenmire and Jeff ‘Swampy’ Marsh.
