Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 54th animated motion picture Big Hero 6 is now available on all major digital download platforms. I got a copy on iTunes and watched the film and the bonus features using the Disney Movies Anywhere app on my iPhone 5S. I’m happy to report that the film is still just as great on the small screen as it was on the big screen (my original review is here) and the bonus features, although a bit sparse, are beautifully produced, entertaining, and informational.
Stanford Clark joins Marc Vibbert to review a whole slew of Blu-rays & DVDs, amongst them Saving Mr. Banks, The Pirate Fairy, and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

We journey back to the land of Emeryville, CA in this episode to interview another amazing Pixar employee. This time we were lucky enough to speak with Arik Ehle who started as a production assistant and has worked his way up to become an animator.
Filling in for Matt this week is our site writer, Stanford Clark. Join us as we discuss the Studio Ghibli documentary, the new Mickey Mouse shorts, and the newest animated Disney films.

Disney is rolling out their new 2D Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts series on Disney Channel starting the weekend of June 28-30, 2013 (8:30 p.m. ET/PT). Disney gave us a sneak peek of the series last March with the short “Croissant de Triomphe”. Now available for viewing on Disney.com is a brand new short called “No Service”. New shorts will be premiering every Friday through July. The shorts will also be available to view on the WATCH Disney Channel mobile app, iTunes, and a new “Mickey Video Player” mobile app (which we haven’t been able to find yet, at least not on the Apple App Store) after their Disney Channel premieres.
