DreamWorks Animation and 20th Century Fox have released a new teaser trailer for their upcoming animated feature Trolls. Based on the iconic troll dolls from Denmark, it looks like the dolls have had a significant and colorful makeover for the film.
We love the incredible and highly collectible posters, shirts, and other fantastic items from Mondo. The talented folks there have outdone themselves again by introducing a new collectible toy line which will debut this week at the Mondo booth (#835) at San Diego Comic-Con.
Paramount Animation recently announced that animator Lino DiSalvo has been named as the studio’s new creative director. DiSalvo comes to Paramount after having spent the last 16 years at Walt Disney Animation Studios. Most recently, he was head of animation for Disney’s mega-hit Frozen.
In conjunction with this year’s SXSW Festival, The Walt Disney Company’s Oh My Disney blog and the always awesome Mondo Gallery in Austin, Texas, have joined forces for an incredible exhibit of original poster art celebrating films from the Disney Studios (both live action and animation) and Pixar Animation Studios.
SIGGRAPH 2013 is well underway in Anaheim, CA, and Monday, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presented a keynote panel, which included many of feature animations best and brightest.
The upcoming re-introduction of the once popular Trolls to pop culture is picking up steam as DreamWorks Animation has tapped Mike Mitchell (Shrek Forever After) to direct the animated feature film which is expected to hit theaters in November of 2016. Joining Mitchell is award-winning veteran TV writer Erica Rivinoja (South Park, Up All Night) and the project will be produced by Shrek Forever After‘s Gina Shay, a DWA stalwart.
