‘Rocky and Bullwinkle’ To Make Cinematic Return
DreamWorks Animation announced today that a brand new Rocky & Bullwinkle short film will be released in 2014, to coincide with the theatrical release of Mr. Peabody & Sherman, the much-anticipated 3D animated film hitting theaters next March.
First Full Trailer for ‘Mr. Peabody and Sherman’ Makes History
DreamWorks Animation Studios has released the first official full-length trailer for their much-anticipated animated film, Mr. Peabody & Sherman.
The 3D film, directed by Rob Minkoff (Disney’s The Lion King) and starring the voice talents of Ty Burrell (TV’s Modern Family) as Mr. Peabody and Max Charles (TV’s Neighbors) as his boy, Sherman, among many others, is based on the classic Jay Ward Studios segments that were part of the Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle TV series.
DreamWorks’ ‘Mr. Peabody and Sherman’ Coming Soon
If you haven’t heard, DreamWorks is reviving the classic cartoon Mr. Peabody & Sherman from The Rocky & Bullwinkle Show as a feature-length 3-D movie early next year. The director, Rob Minkoff (The Lion King, Stuart Little) had reportedly wanted to do the film since 2003, but the project didn’t take off until Minkoff joined DreamWorks in 2006.
June Foray, The First Lady of Voice Acting, to receive 2013 Governors Award
The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS) will honor the great June Foray, the undisputed First Lady of Voice Acting, with the lifetime Governors Award at this year’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards show on September 15th.
Fox Announces Release Dates Through 2018
20th Century Fox (which we believe is still the name of the film division of the newly renamed 21st Century Fox, the entertainment group spinoff of News Corp.) has announced release dates for all of its film slate through 2018. 20th Century Fox is home to Fox Animation Studios and Blue Sky Studios and is now the exclusive distributor for films from DreamWorks Animation.
Bullwinkle and Friends to Run (and Pun) Again!
Jay Ward’s timeless creations are coming back to the comic book world thanks to the good folks at IDW Publishing. The comics publisher, along with DreamWorks Classics and Bullwinkle Studios have joined forces to bring Bullwinkle J. Moose, his pal Rocky, The Flying Squirrel, the nefarious no-goodniks Boris Badenov & Natasha Fatale, and the rest of the gang to comic shops nationwide beginning this fall.

Dragon 2; Peabody; Peanuts Highlight Fox Animation Slate at CinemaCon
During Thursday’s press conference at CinemaCon, Fox Studios chairman Jim Gianopulos unleashed a Dragon..or a sequel to Dragons. How to Train Your Dragon 2 (not a confirmed title), the sequel to DreamWorks Animation’s 2010 hit will fly into theaters on June 20th, 2014.
