Walt Disney Records has begun rolling out their newly created line of collectible CDs entitled Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection. Starting first with Disney’s The Lion King, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, 15 new CD sets of classic Disney film and theme park music have been announced to be released through 2015 with hopefully more to be announced in the future.
We’re just days away from the U.S. release of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 53rd animated motion picture Frozen. More and more people have seen the film, more and more interviews with the filmmakers have been published, and more and more excitement is building around the film’s release. Music legend Paul McCartney’s new single, which is aptly named “New,” is going to be on the soundtrack of Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.
In a bit of exciting news from composer Michael Giacchino, he’s reportedly returning to Pixar Animation Studios to score an as of yet unannounced project. In the past Giacchino has scored six short films and four feature films for the studio.
