‘Toy Story 4’ Officially Announced for June 2017

So there I was, listening to The Walt Disney Company’s Q4 and fiscal year 2014 earnings conference call when amid all of the talk about numbers and “franchises” (which, I believe, is the favorite word among the senior business leaders at Disney), comes a surprise announcement from Disney CEO Bob Iger that Toy Story 4 is on its way from Pixar Animation Studios on June 16th, 2017 and that it will be directed by none other than John Lasseter himself. I immediately sent a text to our fearless editor-in-chief Marc Vibbert and then tried to sort it all out.

‘The Awesomes’ Continues to Look Awesome

The creators of Hulu’s new original series The Awesomes shared some more info with Entertainment Weekly about the upcoming show during Hulu’s recent upfront presentation. Saturday Night Live’s Seth Meyers and Michael Shoemaker created this new animated comedy series, which is about “the greatest superhero team in history…and what happens after all the most powerful members leave.” The show is set to premiere in July at San Diego Comic-Con and on August 1st on Hulu with 10 initial episodes.
