Today marks ten years since the release of a film that is not only a phenomenal accomplishment in the realm of animation, but is perhaps the greatest superhero movie of all time. Too much? Not even close! The story Brad Bird developed has profundity effervescing from practically every line of dialogue. The film’s messages against praising mediocrity and of promoting heroism, duty and family resound as relevant and revivifying in our squishy, politically correct world. I could go on for two and a half years about how much I think of this film, but I may lose a few of you in my philosophical musings along the way. You got me monologuing!

What a Tease! Inside Out Trailer is as Dazzling as it is Devoid of Plot, per the norm for Pixar.
Though they didn’t invent the practice, Pixar has certainly done a lot to raise the bar of what a teaser trailer should be over the last twenty years. After watching the much-anticipated teaser trailer for Pixar’s fifteenth full length feature film, Inside Out, it got me thinking about the ways Pixar has messed with our minds over the decades and how (literally) they are doing it again.

Pixar’s ‘Summer Movies to Go’ Promotion Coming to Disney Movies Anywhere App
If we can’t have a new Pixar movie this summer, at least we’ll be getting some potentially cool marketing materials from the studio. Pixar Animation Studios has joined forces with the new Disney Movies Anywhere app for Pixar Summer Movies to Go, providing users of the service with 13 weeks of fun with Pixar’s current animated feature film library.

Disney Announces ‘Incredibles 2’ and ‘Cars 3’ at Annual Shareholder Meeting
Pixar Animation Studios fans had a major reason to rejoice this past week with the announcement of a long-awaited and long-dreamed-of sequel to the fan favorite film The Incredibles. Disney CEO Bob Iger made the announcement at The Walt Disney Company Annual Shareholders Meeting held this year in Portland, Oregon. Also announced at the meeting was another sequel to Pixar’s wildly successful (if not as beloved to adult animation fans) Cars franchise.
New ‘Disney Movies Anywhere’ App Launches
After canceling their proposed “Disney Studio All Access” online service over a year ago, The Walt Disney Studios has finally green-lit and launched their latest digital streaming movie service now known as Disney Movies Anywhere. The service allows you to stream your Disney, Pixar, and Marvel digital movie collection on your computer or mobile device, and allows you to browse and purchase a wide variety of Disney films.
‘Paperman’ Director John Kahrs Bids Farewell to Disney
Veteran Pixar and Disney animator John Kahrs has parted ways with the Walt Disney Animation Studios. The news came via the @DisneyAnimators Twitter feed. Kahrs, the Oscar-winning director of Disney’s beautiful and brilliant Paperman short, recently signed with the William Morris Entertainment (WME) agency.
New ‘Toy Box’ Trailer for ‘Disney Infinity’ Game
A new trailer for the upcoming Disney Infinity game has recently been posted to the Disney Infinity YouTube channel. The trailer highlights Disney Infinity’s “Toy Box” mode, which allows players to “build and customize their own unique virtual world using their favorite characters, vehicles, settings and accessories” and “to share these unique creations…with friends both online and off.”
