New ‘Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles’ Series Coming to Machinima

‘Batman: The Brave and the Bold’ Season Two Now on Blu-ray

Part Three of ‘The Hobbit’ Gets a New Name

The latest news to come from the film’s production team is a new title for the third and final chapter in the series. Instead of The Hobbit: There and Back Again as previously announced, it’s now going to be called The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

Who’s Your Daddy? ‘Son of Batman’ to Premiere at WonderCon

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is proudly releasing the 20th DC Universe Animated Original Movie, Son of Batman, on April 18th at WonderCon in Anaheim. The studio has also released another clip to accompany the trailer from January. The action in the new clip is definitely exciting, as we see Batman fight Killer Croc. Son of Batman is an adaptation of the comic story arc called “Batman and Son” from 2006 in which Batman discovers that he is the father of Talia Al Ghul’s son, Damian.

Accio ‘Harry Potter’ Hogwarts Collection

Harry Potter Hogwarts Collection Remember in 2012 when that really awesome Harry Potter Wizards Collection came out in that sweet chest thing with 31 discs, that crazy epic behind-the-scenes documentary and a bunch of cool add-ons like the horcrux locket and a cloth map? Remember how you felt when you saw that it was priced at 500 American dollars? (you sure that’s not in knuts?) Yeah, it hurt. But they’re softening the blow a bit by releasing the Harry Potter Hogwarts Collection in about a month (available for order now on Amazon) at the slightly more feasible price tag of $250.

Get Ready for ‘The Desolation of Smaug’ on Blu-ray April 8th!

While it’s not necessarily considered an animated feature, New Line Cinema and MGM’s  The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug probably has more animation in it than most films do. The monster hit film and second in Peter Jackson’s ambitious (and very long) The Hobbit trilogy is coming to Blu-ray on April 8th and is going to be available in lots of different packaging.

World Premiere of ‘Justice League: War’ Is Still Happening Tonight

Although a major storm is affecting the eastern U.S. tonight, it’s not enough to withstand the Justice League! The premiere scheduled for this evening (Tuesday, January 21st) of Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment’s new animated film Justice League: War is still happening as scheduled. If you’re lucky enough to have received a ticket for the premiere at The Paley Center for Media in New York City, make sure to give yourself some extra time and to dress warmly.
