Animation Reigns Supreme at Phoenix Comicon

Although the con happened earlier in the summer, we’re still basking in the awesomeness that was Phoenix Comicon 2017.
Our fearless editor-in-chief Marc Vibbert was there live and in person covering the con for Animation Fascination and spreading the word via all of our social media channels.

Michael Rosenbaum

One of the many great things the folks who run Phoenix Comicon do is bring in great animation talent. This year was no exception.

Michael Rosenbaum was in the house. Not only did he play young Lex Luthor in Smallville, he’s the voice of The Flash in the DC Comics animated universe.

Batman: The Animated Series Panel

The legendary Kevin Conroy was also at the con along with other voice actors who were part of the classic TV show Batman: The Animated Series, which ran from 1992-1995 and is still considered one of the all-time greats.

Alan Tudyk

Marc also got to spend some quality time with actor Alan Tudyk. As you know, Tudyk has been a staple at Walt Disney Animation Studios over the last few years, voicing characters in Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, Zootopia, and Moana, not to mention voicing the droid K2-SO in Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: Rogue One. Marc attended Alan’s panel and also was able to get a photo with him.

Dick Van Dyke

Another highlight was the chance Marc had to meet the legendary Dick Van Dyke in person. Marc was able to get his autograph and to personally thank him for the positive impact he’s had on his life.

Get Ready for 2018

All in all, the Phoenix Comicon was a tremendous event and a great time was had by all. We’re already getting stoked for next year’s con which is scheduled for May 24th-27th, 2018. For the latest information, visit the Phoenix Comicon website. Hope to see you there!
