Greetings, animation fans! This week’s new releases on Blu-ray and DVD bring us some not-so traditional animation, with a sure classic! We’re treated to Tom & Jerry’s Giant Adventure, Once Upon a Time: Season 2, and our featured release, The Muppet Movie: The Nearly 35th Anniversary Edition.
The Muppet Movie: The Nearly 35th Anniversary Edition is being released for the first time on Blu-ray! Relive this classic feature film with some of the first puppetry that I had ever seen when I was a child. If you’re a fan of the recent film, I can assure you that this will keep the laughs coming!
For the fans of more classic animation, Tom & Jerry’s Giant Adventure is right up your alley this week. At first, I was hesitant to watch how our titular heroes would be presented in this day and age, but I couldn’t be more pleased. Fans of the originals will be thrilled to watch new adventures unfold with not a whole lot of changes to what made them great.
Next, we have Once Upon a Time: Season 2. Now, I know that this isn’t animation, but a quick peek at the trailer will show plenty of familiar faces for those who are fans of classic Disney films. The first season is available as well on Blu-ray and Netflix Instant Streaming, and I highly recommend giving it a view! I’m sure you’ll be just as hooked as I am!
