We are just over a month away from the premiere of the new and final season of Samurai Jack. Adult Swim posted a new preview today on their YouTube Channel.
Genndy Tartakovsky’s brilliant fantasy/sci-fi animated series Samurai Jack is coming back for a fifth and final season starting March 11th on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming block.
It’s great news that we’re getting a season 5 of Samurai Jack on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming block later this year. And it’s going to be directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, too. Here’s a cool video with a behind the scenes look at what’s in store.
For our loyal readers in Southern California (or for anyone who’s going to be in Southern California today), a cool opportunity awaits. You can meet the cast and creators of the hit Adult Swim animated TV series Black Dynamite on Tuesday, July 15th in Hollywood. The team is celebrating the release of Black Dynamite: Season One on Blu-ray and DVD as well as the return of the show to Adult Swim in October 2014.
Season one of Adult Swim’s hit animated series Black Dynamite is making its debut on Blu-ray and DVD on July 15th. The series’ first season aired on Adult Swim during the summer of 2012 and was the top-rated show in its time slot. Now everyone can get a piece of the action with this new inaugural set.
After Warner Bros. Animation’s CG-animated TV series Beware the Batman was abruptly pulled from its Cartoon Network time slot mid-season last October (only 11 episodes aired), many wondered what would happen to the rest of the season and to the show. IGN is reporting that the remainder of season one (and the series) will be burned off this summer on CN’s Adult Swim during its Toonami programming block.
This past weekend, the L.A. Times reported that Stu Snyder, the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Cartoon Network had been relieved of his duties effective at the end of March. To all in the know, this is welcome news, as Snyder was the person responsible for the lack of cartoons on the network dedicated to, you know, cartoons.
Loren Bouchard’s quirky animated series Bob’s Burgers will now be part of Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim block. According to Deadline.com, Adult Swim closed the deal for exclusive off-network cable rights to the show. Bob’s Burgers will join Family Guy and King of the Hill, two other FOX comedies currently playing on Adult Swim.
If you’re a fan of animation than Netflix Streaming has just become your new best friend. Starting today, Netflix has added 26 Cartoon Network and Adult Swim series’ to their Instant Streaming service and quite a few of those have multiple seasons available.
