I can’t remember an animated trailer getting so much widespread hype in a long time. The new Inside Out clip released in the United Kingdom Wednesday was texted and tweeted and emailed and Facebook messaged to me by friends and colleagues of mine from many walks of life—most unrelated to animation. They were all bubbling with intrigue, “Have you seen this?” “What is this?” “This looks so interesting!” And I am not surprised by their fascination—this trailer is epic!

BlizzCon 2014: First ever ‘Hearthstone’ expansion announced for December 2014
BlizzCon 2014 is in the books and with it a slew of new announcements from Blizzard Entertainment. One major announcement was for Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft with their first expansion Goblins VS Gnomes which is slated for December 2014. The new expansion includes 120 brand new cards for players to add to their various decks. I will tell you as a Hearthstone player, I am very excited for this new set.
‘Strange Magic’ Coming in 2015 from Lucasfilm
Lucasfilm Ltd. gave us all a surprise announcement with the unveiling of its latest animated feature film project, Strange Magic. Lucasfilm Animation Singapore and Industrial Light and Magic are doing the animation work (it’s the same animation team that created 2011’s Rango). With a story by George Lucas himself, the film is directed by Gary Rydstrom (we’ve been wondering about the specifics of what he’s been working on for quite some time).
