Over more than a year ago the Argentinian site JPosters leaked early character one-sheets of Anna and Elsa from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen. Well history has repeated itself and six character centric posters have appeared on their site for Disney’s next animated feature, Big Hero 6!

So June 29, 2007 doesn’t sound like that long ago, but along with being the release date of Pixar’s 8th feature film, Ratatouille, this was also the day that the first iPhone came out. Crazy, right? I can’t imagine life without iPhones—and I can’t imagine a Pixar repertoire without Remy and Linguini. Not since Lady and the Tramp’s spaghetti scene has such delectable food and atmosphere been shown in an animated film. However, it wasn’t always peaches and cream for this culinary classic.

‘Boy and the World’ Wins Cristal Prize at 2014 Annecy Festival

Boy and the World (O Menino e o Mundo) took home the Cristal Award for a Feature Film at the 2014 Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Directed by Brazilian artist Alê Abreu, the hand-drawn animated film tells the story of a fatherless boy who leaves his village “to discover a world dominated by animal machines and strange beings” and shows an interpretation of the problems of the world through the eyes of a child.

Casey Kasem Passes Away at Age 82

American Top 40 radio host and animation voice artist Casey Kasem passed away on U.S. Father’s Day, June 15, 2014. According to the Los Angeles Times, Kasem died in a hospital in Gig Harbor, Washington. He had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and a form of dementia. His passing occurred after an ongoing and highly publicized fight over his health care between his three adult children (all from his first marriage to Linda Meyers) and his second wife, Jean Thompson Kasem.
