I think it’s still considered ranting if I mainly rave about a topic, which is pretty much what I’m going to do about the new parade, “Paint the Night,” and new fireworks show, “Disneyland Forever,” which both recently debuted at Disneyland. These shows were rolled out, along with a new version of “World of Color,” to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the park’s opening. I got to view these two at a cast screening last week and I was impressively surprised.
While much publicity is currently being devoted to Pixar Animation Studios’ upcoming animated feature Inside Out opening on June 19th, don’t forget that we will be getting two films from Pixar this year–The Good Dinosaur is scheduled to open on November 25th, 2015. Playing in front of The Good Dinosaur is the newly announced short Sanjay’s Super Team. The short will make its official debut at this year’s Annecy International Animation Film Festival in Annecy, France.
We’ve all been hearing for years about the decline of DVD and Blu-ray sales. And while there’s hasn’t been any doubt about the popularity and convenience of streaming services and digital downloads over physical discs, it still hit us pretty hard to learn that Fox will no longer be releasing any further seasons of The Simpsons on physical media.
D23 Expo 2015 is coming to the Anaheim Convention Center on August 14th-17th, 2015. One of the highlights of the every-other-year event is the Walt Disney Studios’ animation presentation which highlights the latest animated features coming from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, and Disneytoon Studios.
